Thank you for very wise words and links! I realize this is really a totally new world, it seems so endlessly big. But I am happy that I am just in the starting point of it and that my course has opened this up.
One thing that struck me is if everything you write has to be true? I guess there has to be some sort of "blog-rules", what you can write and what you should write and so on? Or can a blog also be totally fiction? Totally untrue? No one can check it upp anyway, if you are who you say you are?
So truth or fiction, or a bit of everything?

About your question, truth or fiction, I think most people who use the social web do not pretend to be anyone else. I don't think that they write "the truth, the whole truth and nothin but the truth", though. As human beings, we want to present ourselves in as good a way as possible :-)
Of course there may be persons who have fake identities, but as long as they aren't out there to hurt anyone, I'd say it's ok. (Now I notice that my English is too rusty to develop this thougth further - hopefully it will improve and we can continue this discussion later on!)
